DIVIDEND FOR MEMBERSHIP INFORMATION
Information To Members
All dividend payments for 2025 will be issued by cheque only and ready for members on Wednesday, December 17, 2025.
There will be no direct deposit or EFT payments this year.
This decision was made to ensure the highest level of security for our members.
There will be two locations where members can pick up their cheques.
Members that are 19+ will receive their dividend cheque, members that are 18 and under their cheques will be held under trust until they turn 19.
Pick-Up Locations:
• Prince George – 509 Carney Street, Across from Admin office in PG (Health Building)
Shannon West will be coordinating at Prince George location.
• Takla – Takla Administrative Office
Ann Abraham will be coordinating at Takla Landing.

For members picking up their own cheque at any location, please bring valid photo ID. This ensures
we can verify your identity and keep the process secure for everyone.
Mailing your cheque
Members who require their cheque to be mailed or are unable to pick up must email their updated
mailing address to: dividends@taklafn.ca along with a copy or a photo of your ID.
Please make sure the address you provide is current, so your cheque arrives safely.
We will be mailing cheques in the new year.
Third-Party Pick-Up:
If you need someone else to pick up your cheque on your behalf, there are a few important steps.
• You must complete the Authorization Form available on Facebook., and include your
Status Number.
• In your email, please clearly state the name of the person you are authorizing to pick up
your cheque. Full government name (no nicknames)
• The person you authorize must bring valid photo ID when they arrive to pick it up.
• All documents must be emailed to: dividends@taklafn.ca

BC Family Maintenance Agency
I also want to share an important legal requirement regarding the BC Family Maintenance
Agency. If a member owes Family Maintenance more than the dividend payment, Takla Nation is
court-mandated to remit 100% of the dividend payment to BC Family Maintenance Agency.
This is a process, and we must follow it.

Important Rules for Dividend Distribution
Takla Nation has zero tolerance for lateral violence, verbal aggression, or physical violence at any office distributing cheques. Staff and community safety come first.
All procedures will be followed strictly and equally for every member.
Please ensure you bring:
✔️ Valid government-issued ID
✔️ Completed authorization forms (if someone else is picking up on your behalf)
