On the borders of the traditional Takla lands lies over 2,700 square kilometres of protected, remote wilderness. For thousands of generations we’ve hunted these lands, led by deep-rooted culture and tradition.
Takla Outfitters is where this tradition meets the northern hunting experience. Our guided hunting retreats are an immersive adventure rich with culture, storytelling, ceremony and the rugged wilderness you can only find in northern British Columbia, Canada.
The Takla Nation was isolated deep in the woods until the 1950s when the forestry industry brought in service roads.
Today, the community of 250 residents lies 320km north of Prince George, British Columbia on the picturesque eastern shore of Takla Lake, also known as Takla Landing.
The Takla people are strengthened by ceremony and the spiritual practices that bind us to our history.
