Smoke is beginning to move into the territory, carried from wildfires burning in the northeastern part of the province.
There are currently no active fires near Takla Landing.
The smoke you’re seeing is travelling from distant regions.
The red dot on the image below shows Takla’s location for reference.Takla Nation’s Emergency Operations Centre (EOC) is actively monitoring the situation as we move into the summer season. Air quality is also being tracked, and updates will be provided as conditions change.
